This workshop exposes MDCPS to the MDC Environmental Center. This is a 9 acre Hardwood Hammock/Pine Rockland Preserve with a 3 acre lake on-campus and used to once boast daily field trips from elementary schools from all over Miami. Well, it's BACK! Partnered with the Division of Innovation & School Choice, we are showing teachers and hope to engage future students in applied math out in Miami's most protected habitats! Math is EVERYWHERE! Participants will meet at the bus loop in front of Building 2 (south side) and ride on one of the MDCPS Electric Buses over to the Environmental Center. It will be hot and you will be outdoors, therefore, dress appropriately! This session is weather permitting!
